v1. This is the first iteration of the referral program. Mechanics may change. Follow @basedminingco for special bonus rounds (extra rewards for early referrers, double-credit windows, etc.).

How it works

Every Hashpower NFT mint generates a personal referral link tied to the connected wallet: 
https://basedmining.xyz/mint?ref=<your-evm-address>
When someone mints through your link, you earn 1 credit.

What credits get you

Future tiers may unlock more rewards — follow @basedminingco for announcements. Two places:
  1. The Mint success modal — after you complete a mint, the modal shows your personal link with a copy button and “Share on X” button
  2. Your miner page — basedmining.xyz/miner/<your-address> has a referral panel if you’re a Hashpower NFT holder
The Mint page also shows a Referral Leaderboard with the current top referrers.

How rewards get delivered

When you hit a credit threshold:
  1. The system queues a reward fulfillment
  2. The operator reviews via Telegram bot (anti-fraud step)
  3. On approval, a free Spark NFT (or bundle, for the 50-credit tier) is provisioned to your address
  4. Your hashpower from the free Spark activates in the next Block Party — same as a paid mint
The whole flow is the same code path that handles paid Spark mints — your free reward earns cbBTC the same way.

Anti-fraud

To keep the program honest:
  • Each mint can only attribute one referrer (the first one)
  • The system rejects self-referrals (you can’t refer your own next mint)
  • Each referee’s mint transaction can only count once
  • All free reward fulfillment is operator-approved, not algorithmic
Wash-referral attempts are uneconomical anyway — the cost of minting a paid NFT to farm credits exceeds the value of the resulting free Spark.

Feel free to use your own framing. Anything that pre-fills the ?ref=<your-evm-address> parameter counts as your referral.

Special bonus rounds

We periodically run bonus referral rounds — limited-time windows where credits earn extra rewards:
  • “First 100 referrers get an extra $50”
  • “Double-credit weekend”
  • “Refer a Crusher mint → bonus +5 credits”
These are operator-discretion and announced on @basedminingco. Follow there if you want to catch them.

Common questions

Yes — they get 1 credit toward their reward threshold. It doesn’t cost you anything; the program is bonus-funded by the operator.
No. The system rejects self-referrals (same wallet as referrer and referee).
Your credits are tied to the EVM wallet that received the referrals. If you switch wallets, the credits stay with the old one. Use the same wallet for minting and referring to avoid this.
Once you cross 10 credits, the reward is queued. Operator approval typically happens within 24 hours, after which your Spark is provisioned and queues for the next Block Party.
